It's Complicated

 “But I don't want easy, I want complicated.” 

This quote is from a movie that I watched over the weekend called Christmas as Usual. 

It is about a woman from Norway and a man from India that recently got engaged and they go to Norway to tell her family about their engagement. As you can tell from the quote, things don’t go as planned because of cultural differences.   

Intercultural understanding is complicated. It is not easy. But, that doesn’t mean it is not important. 

I encourage you to start or continue on your intercultural understanding journey in order to have a multicultural mindset. It will be complicated, but there is support along the way.
